Well, I love to blog. But, I'll keep this to a minimum. This site is revolved around Art, and that's how I'm going to keep it! At least for my journals...
Well, let's talk a little bit about my art background. I've been an "artist" since I was extremely little. I have an older sister who liked to draw, and I followed suit at an early age. She always was one step ahead of me with style and such... but she was older.
In elementary school, I was the shy little kid who drew in the corner. Everyone knew that I loved to draw. In third grade, I got in trouble for drawing a character on another kids desk. Even though he asked me to! In fifth grade, I even drew pictures for my crush at the time.
Junior High was my first actual art class. I don't know if I should count Elementary art.... Anyways, truth be told, I hated it. Drawing Joe and Jane Squares is NOT my thing. I can and do draw most of my pictures in a matter of minutes, I don't understand the point of drawing a Geometrical person only to draw stuff over it. Although, I am starting to kind of do that with the faces...
Anyways... High School. In High School, I was definitely known for my art. If people knew who I was, they all knew I loved to draw. There was a girl in my Advanced Algebra class who would make me draw her a picture EVERYDAY. It was fun.
I also did a lot of art activities in High School. I was the cartoonist for the school newspaper my entire career. I was an active member of Art Club, and even became Art Club president my senior year.
In college, the importance of art to me hasn't changed at all. I still draw and doodle all the time. I even made a point to draw a picture on every single page of my notebook for my Geography class. My major even revolves around art. Computer Graphics. I'm hoping to get into Animation.
That's basically a good summary of my art background, and I've already written a lot. I told you I liked to blog.
I'll save my style description and such for my next journal entry. I'm sure I'll think of more things I can write about next time as well.
In the mean time - Have a great day.
